marenas prides itself on finding solutions even in complex environments and creating cross-divisional structures. Together with the customer and our ecosystem of experts that has grown over many years, we not only create suitable and feasible solutions, but also implement them continuously and in a benefit-oriented manner.

OUR CUSTOMERS

We develop sustainable IT-based solutions for global corporations and medium-sized companies in highly complex environments, particularly in the mobility, retail and public services sectors.

In our “Advanced Business Agility” business area, we advise our customers on the path to agilization and support them in their search for the “perfect” collaboration model.

We put the right experts - business and IT, top management and implementation level or internal employees and suppliers - all at the same table.

HOW WE WORK

Why build an agile organization based on skills and release cycles?
  • marenas aims to create a largely hierarchy-free organization that is geared towards specific goals.
  • This form of organization helps us to deploy and prioritize our resources and capacities for internal corporate development in the best possible way alongside the project business.
  • This approach enables us to involve all employees in the company’s development – regardless of their career level or length of service with the company.
  • The fixed release length of 6 months has proven to be suitable for defining and achieving goals – in order to continuously develop ourselves in manageable steps – from strategy to support, from service development to delivery excellence.
Why is agility important for us?

We want to live agility and anchor it firmly in marenas DNA, in structure, mindset and strategy.
This is particularly about

  • Speed and adaptability, so that we can react quickly and dynamically to changes in the market and among our customers, as well as with regard to our employees
  • customer focus, so that we can respond faster and better to customers and employees in short cycles with MVPs and clear prioritization
  • agile attitude (mindset), which is reflected in our values, leadership and team orientation, work design and corporate culture, specifically in mare-com (NewWork). But also as an example in the collaboration models we practice with customers and partners.

SHARE@marenas

We are aware that our standard of living is anything but a matter of course. It is therefore a matter close to our hearts to provide important impetus in areas that go beyond our day-to-day advisory business and to actively assume social responsibility. For this reason, we have initiated the “share” project.

“think and act – global and local”

In accordance with this principle, we would like to use “share” to support projects that promote education and development – both internationally and regionally. Our aim is to help people to help themselves in order to create tangible and sustainable added value. This only works because we maintain a long-term and personal relationship with our partners and therefore have transparency about the current challenges and needs.

Our financial donations are taken from the current operating result. This means that each individual team member contributes to the donations through their work. In addition, our team is also involved on site in a wide variety of ways for our “share” projects. From the integration of refugees with voluntary tutoring to renovation work in youth centers and support for inclusion tournaments.

We have already been able to support the following projects.

School project in Tanzania:

We have been promoting sustainable education in Tanzania since 2017. In the schools and kindergartens we support, children not only receive a basic education, but also a warm lunch and a safe place to stay. We take particular care to only commission local craftsmen or to qualify Tanzanian teachers for the education. As with all our projects, we establish and maintain a personal relationship with the recipients of donations through reciprocal visits and regular exchanges.

Refugee Assistance in Munich: Since 2019, we have been supporting Dr. Beatrix Jakubicka’s commitment to helping children and young people who have fled to Munich. We enabled this small group to receive music lessons and gave our team the opportunity to volunteer—through tutoring, for example, or by offering support with job applications and administrative appointments.

Charity Event at Munich’s Freiheitshalle: On March 19, 2023, we sponsored a charity event initiated by Jana Roth and Dr. Beatrix Jakubicka in support of the victims and emergency responders of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. In addition to a musical program, the event focused on the sale of artwork to raise funds that were directed to where they were most urgently needed.

One Earth – One Ocean: The sea holds a visibly important place in marenas’ corporate identity. In 2021, we therefore decided to support the Munich-based organization One Earth – One Ocean. oeoo describes itself as a “maritime waste collection service” and has developed a concept for collecting and sustainably processing ocean waste—one that not only helps clean the world’s oceans, but also protects and preserves the fragile ecosystem. Through financial contributions and by connecting them with our network, we have been able to make a contribution and remain in close contact to this day.

Inclusion Team in Munich: On July 13, 2019, the first marenas Inclusion Cup, a charity tournament organized by TSV Hohenbrunn, took place. In two competitions, six diverse football teams each tried to get the ball into the net. All proceeds were donated to the “Sternstunden” foundation. In addition to this event, our donation also helped fund the training camp and part of the team’s equipment.

Youth Home in Munich: Jugendhaus München e.V. is an educationally supervised residential group for young people going through challenging phases in their family, school, or professional lives. In addition to financial and material donations, it is important to us to engage directly with the youths through project days. In summer 2019, we were on site to repaint the fence of this special residential community and to tend the garden and terrace for the young residents.
